I have been a dog trainer 5+ years

I have worked with a variety of animals in veterinary medicine the children’s zoo.

Being a graduate of field studies and animal rescue organizations has given me a unique perspective on animal behavior.  As a veterinary technician I gained important  diagnostic skills and practiced critical thinking.  I learned key signals that detect illness in animals as well as how to interpret body language.

As a zookeeper at the St.louis Children’s Zoo. I had the opportunity to observe a variety of behaviors and learn the natural history of a diverse group of animals.  I fed and cared for the animals and educated the public.

As an aviculturist and a former bird rescue volunteer I have a great appreciation for the complex care birds require.  Working with graduate students in separate field studies I gained valuable experience in gathering data for research.

My passion is studying and understanding animal behavior and language .  My goal is to help the public better understand and communicate with the animals in their world.  I continue this pursuit as a trainer promoting the human animal bond.
